KALIBARU - BANYUWANGI

Banyuwangi , I didn’t even think that I came to this town again , the town that giving me so much great time and the memories . after coming back from BROMO , I continued my trip to Banyuwangi , I don’t think that I would visit it at the first time , and I was surprised of seeing the board “ WELCOME TO BANYUWANGI “ wahh … I was so happy .. first, I was thinking I was gonna visit the beaches . but , it was totally wrong . KALIBARU . I never heard about it before , and my friend explained to me about this place . KALIBARU is the name of the kabupaten in bayuwangi near from gleenmore . Kalibaru is the town of plantation. so, we came here to see and watch the plantation , I was so glad , that was my first time of my traveling coming to the plantation :D yippiyy …

We stayed on MARGOUTOMO cottage, it costs 400.000 IDR / net. That was the cheapest one . Because we just stayed one night. so we dare to pay  the cottage .  The cottage was designed  looks like country house . So traditional and natural ,  with the plantation and the tree of tea and coffee. It makes you feel like in the village hohoho .. so wonderful hotel . exactly , there are  2 MARGO UTOMO HOTEL ,  the first MARGOUTOMO was the place where I stayed , and the second it’s near from the first one .

The day after , after taking the breakfast we prepared going to the plantation , we walked , because the plantation is inside the hotel . The first place was the farm vile, there , we could see many kind of the various plants , and we also saw the production of milk and the cows . Kalibaru is the most important town in Banyuwangi , because it produces the coffees and chocolates.   People work here or  work in the chocolate factory  in order to get some money , the government gives more money to the people that worked in the factory .

We continued to the chocolate factory , we got there by the jeep , the hotel also gives us the facilities kind of the jeep  and the local guide for going to the factory . it took 1hour going to the factory .  I was so amazed seeing the Village  , it was so silence and beautiful , the people were so welcoming . so kind and so harmful. 

 For the local guide we don’t need to pay, it includes with the cost of the hotel’s  rent. Actually there was no special there , but we could get more knowledge by coming there .

Waterfall , the place that we should visit after coming from the factory . Wonorejo waterfall is located in Kalibaru  on the raung mountain.  People do believe the legend of this waterfall .  they believe that this waterfall is the wedding waterfall . The couple who coming here will be able to be together  forever till the ends of the time. But believe it or not , it’s just a legend J .

Not only waterfall but also the natural pool that surended by the forest , it is called JATISRONO pool , people usually come and swim there , but after seeing the condition , I refused to swim there . it was so dirty and disgusting , what .. yes , I saw 2 snakes swimming around the pool . wohhhoooo , I was so frankly surprised , how could we swim the pool while they were watching around us prepare for biting us . what a terrible .  but , not swimming didn’t mean not enjoying . we kept walking around the forest and enjoying the fresh air J , well .. we had fun enough , so we got back to the hotel and continued the next trip KAWAH IJEN J
